Eclipse (Yacht)

 

The Eclipse is a 557ft yacht ( also the world's largest private yacht) constructed by Blohm + Voss in Hamburg, Germany. The Yacht is owned by Russian Businessman Roman Abramovich and was delivered to him on the 9th December 2010.

 

The interior and exterior of the yacht was designed by Terence Disdale, who is an award winning designer responsible for the interior and exterior designs of some of the worlds most spectacular yacht. The Naval architect is Francis Design. 

The 557-foot yacht comes with amenities like two helipads, two swimming pool, multiple hot tubs, a submarine and a missile detection system. Other features includes Bullet proof glass, 6ft cinema screen for every guest cabin and the master cabin has a roof that opens to allow Roman Abramovich and his gilfriend to sleep under the stars.

The Eclipse is also the most expensive yacht in the world, costing a grand total (upon delivery) of $485 million.

Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG (2012)

 The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is now more powerful, efficient and has been improved for customers ultimate satisfaction and safety.


The Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG is powered by a 5.5 litre V8 turbo engine, which enables the car to accelerate from 0 - 100km (0 - 60mph) in just 4.1 seconds and can also produce up to 550 horsepower (hp). This car has an improved fuel economy which is made possible by the newly developed AMG speed-sensitive sport steering system, that draws power from steering wheel movements. This innovation allows the car to save 22% on fuel consumption other than other vehicles.

Driving Assistance Systems Added For Safety


Numerous driver assistance systems has been added in the 2012 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG to avoid Traffic accidents or to moderate their severity, such as 'Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist.


Active Blind Spot Assist warns the driver if the short-range radar sensors detect a risk of collision should the  vehicle change lanes.


Active Lane Keeping Assist is activated when the driver suddenly drifts off a solid line to the left or to the right, when this happens the Active Lane Keeping Assist brakes the opposite rear wheel of the vehicle and prevents the vehicle from changing lanes.

As far as this car goes, the only bad news is that its going to cost you. Asking Price - $94,500

BMW i8 Hybrid

BMW i8 is one of the latest concepts of the German car maker that brings forth a 220hp, 3 cylinder engine and an electric drive system. The Concept of this car was borrowed from the BMW i3 with additional upgrades. The Vehicle accelerates to 100km/h (60 mph) under 5 seconds.

This car will efficiently use 3 litres of fuel over the distance of 100 kilometers, because it has another power source which is a big Li-Ion battery.

NB: This Spectacular vehicle was used in the movie 'Mission Impossible 4 (Ghost Protocol).

Bentley Aero Ace Speed VI

The Bentley Aero Ace is a concept supercar created by auto designer, Gabriel Tam and it is inspired from the original 6-speed which won at the Le mans, back in the 1920's. The design of this car is focused in improving aerodynamics properties, for efficiency and speed.

The Bentley Concept is also going to be powered by an electric motor, so it will also be eco-friendly.

Citroen DS9

Citroen has long been in the shadows of the Germans. This is partly because their cars have been horribly unreliable and partly because they just weren’t as good to drive. But the French automaker is going to try and change all of that with their new luxury machine, the DS9.

The DS9, which is based off of the Urban concept, is the company’s attempt to move up market and challenge the Mercedes Benz S-Class, BMW 7 Series, Jaguar X7, and the Audi A8.

The Citroen DS9 is poweered by a hybrid drive chain that combines a 2.0-litre V6 engine with an output 272bhp and an electric motor that develops from 55hp to 95hp.
